African "Cherry", Baku, "Cherry Mahogany".

This is another African wood that is somewhat similar to a close-grained mahogany but with dark red growth lines and smaller pores as found in cherry. It is pinkish-brown to blood red or red brown in color. Some logs are straight-grained and show figuring like African Mahogany stripes; others have a striking, checkered figure sometimes streaked with darker color. Price Range: Moderate to Valuable.
