Grown on the African Ivory Coast, Ghana, Nigeria and the Cameroons. It is harder and heavier that African Mahogany and has considerable variation in grain pattern with light portions of stripes on a dark reddish brown color. Select samples can display a assortment of grain patterns and an interesting color array. Reasonable availability in veneers and timber at a moderate to high cost.
